According to the Board of Regents’ Handbook (Title 4, Chapter 17, Section 2) and compliant with Assembly Bill 212 (Chapter 28, Statutes of Nevada 2023), a student with a past due account of any amount at an institution within the Nevada System of Higher Education may access their transcript or diploma by entering an institution-approved payment plan. Once a student commits to an approved payment plan, the institution will release the requested record. While it is not required for a student to make the initial payment of a payment plan before the transcript or diploma is released, the student must remain in good standing with the payment plan to maintain access to their academic records.
To access a transcript or diploma when the student account is past due, follow these general instructions under the institutional contacts below:
Contact the institution at which the overdue account is located to request a payment plan for the purpose of accessing your transcript.
Once an approved payment plan has been established, contact the institution from which a transcript is needed.
